Randy Koutnik

Randy (nearly native Montanan), born in Menominee, Michigan, moved to North Central Montana with his parents at age 6 months where he was raised in the small farming community of Kremlin, MT. After graduating from high school he spent seven years in the U.S. Navy and following an honorable discharge completed his studies at the University of Montana where he earned a BA in Sociology. He spent the next nearly 30 years working with troubled teens and their families. He and his wife were also foster parents to 55 children during this time. Randy recently retired from the Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services where he served in various positions as a social worker, program officer and assistant to the Department Administrator. Shortly after taking his retirement in December of 2004 Randy obtained his real estate license and joined his wife Laurie, who has been with The Landmark Company for the past 8 years. He and his family have lived in the Helena valley for the past 16 years.
